BOLZANO
Large tracts of South Tyrol are characterized by a cultivated landscape which is unique in the whole region. Medieval monasteries and generations of indefatigable mountain farmers have created this enormously varied and picturesque scenery in perfect harmony with nature. Moreover, South Tyrol is also proud of its wine yards and apple plantation, which extend all over the region. As far as industry is concerned, there are a couple of international companies, which have their head quarters near Bolzano such as Wuerth, Thun or Forst.
